This is cool. Part of the river through the englischer garten speeds up under a bridge to the point that it creates a standing wave big enough to surf on- which of course is exactly what they do in munich, kicking it bavarian style. People seem to be genuinely exhilarated to be outside when the weather is good. Reminds me of Norway in the summer...
